Paul Ruehrmund Week 2

Underwater with Kristina Sherk II
If you follow this Blog or my Wet & Underwater Portfolio, you know I like putting a model's head and/or body near the surface underwater and get both the image and it's reflection. We get an infinite number of versions depending on surface water movement. If we are totally still, it's like a mirror. If we make waves (ripples), we get this.
Chris's Underwater Setup

Chris Crumley is a stock (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_photography) and advertising assignment photographer based in Virginia Beach.  He specializes in people and water-based images.  He has logged more than 5,000 dives, only seven without a camera.  Chris has taught some well known photographers a technique called Under/Over where he takes part of the photo underwater and part over the water.  He also puts on Mermaid Portfolio Workshops for aspiring mermaid models.  Chris’s mermaid pictures have recently appeared on the cover of books by novelists Sara Porter and Carolyn Turgeon.

Chris publishes his own blog which talks about how he makes his photographs and the challenges he encounters in his underwater work.  Although he specializes in underwater photography, Chris does landscapes and portraits as well.  I love his work, the colors are brilliant and the images are truly beautiful.  http://blog.chriscrumley.com/
