Weekly Artist

Adam Krause

1: Adam Krause is a photographer that lives in New York City and is a lover of music. In the above photos you can see his goals are clear in capturing human nature or mankind in a natural state.
He chooses to capture people and their emotions at the exact moment of feeling those emotions.  For Example the first photo of a man leaving a now routine check up due to injuries of war and capturing the seemingly normal routine by the man's face. In the second photo, capturing a young man who at heart is still a child, and in all actuality we all are. And lastly, capturing the dying flowers in a man made container, using the background as dark to show the viewer how man tends to destroy nature.

2:  As stated above, Krause takes people at their most natural and captures that for his viewers to see. Not only people, but also the effects of nature on people and people on nature.  He is a realist that takes the covers off our eyes to show us truth on who people really are.

3:  I personally think his approach to showing viewers reality of people and their lives through photography is excellent. He shows us what no one really sees, except doctors, friends or a spouse (based on the above examples).  I appreciate honesty and truth, so it challenges me to want to do the same.
