Oppermann is a photographer who makes pictures for The New Yorker, Nike, Instagram, and other companies. These pictures are from her project Set piece, a project on professional women's soccer in the United States.
Cait created some interesting compositional choices that worked really well in this project. Everything is cropped nicely and all the edges are good. I think she also captured the dynamics of soccer in a preparation theme nicely. I also think it's a good tactic to not show any faces in the picture.
I like Cait's approach to photography. I think she makes all the right technical choices in Set Piece. There is a lot that goes into soccer and Cait picks really good visual aspects for this project. It is easy to see why she does work for major companies.
