From another perspective, Michael B. Rasmussen makes high definition images to examine nature from all heights. He uses drones to create landscapes that at first glance would not appear as such. Rather than an average composition with a foreground, middle ground, and background, Rasmussen uses different landscape components to accent his photography in dynamic ways.
Conceptually, Michael B. Rasmussen's may intend to force individuals to think outside of the box and use different devices. When it comes to paint, we think to paint with a paintbrush. When it comes to photography, the average person will instantly think camera. However, we can use different techniques to use these mediums in our own unique way. Whether that be using our fingers or straws to move paint across a canvas or a drone like Michael B. Rasmussen in his aerial shots. Creativity is about being able to think about using every resource available to us as artists.
Michael B. Rasmussen is inspiring in his concept to inspire people to be smart and creative about methods of art or whatever the person's craft may be. The perspective of the image portray a dynamic composition that may read as different space in nature. His photography is an eye opener to the different realms of art.
