Bryan Treakle - Weekly Post #1

Terry Richardson

1. Terry Richardson used full color for these shots. Not sure if he used digital or analog photography but the choice of color and the lack of a human subject in these photos pays homage to the barrenness of classic Americana, mostly to the recession of the once booming Route 66.

2. Terry captures the former glory of the stations and stops along the iconic Route 66, showing empty rooms and roads as well as faded and worn signs.

3. I really like and admire the subjects of this set of photos because they invoke a sense of nostalgia for simpler times in America.
