Deja Thompson - Weekly Artist Post 4

Akiko Takizawa

1) Akiko Takizawa uses black and white color. It looks as if she is using film with a large format camera. The subject appear to be centered with the black and white give contrast to the pictures.
All the pictures are taken at a distance from the subject. The pictures have a deep depth of field allowing more to be in focus.

2) All the pictures are of landscape. The first picture seem to of something tragic just happened and possibly there are people trying to get the hurt to safety. The second seems to be of two guys over looking an ancient ground. The third is of a long road with a bent that make seem never ending with trees on the side possibly conveying the beauty of live never ending road.

3) It is nice to see pictures in black and white, its a refreshing switch up from the every brightness that is portrayed. These pictures make to me want to look deeper into them. I feel the black and white really draw me in.
