These animal art shots are composed by Sophie Gamand.  The medium is photos and all of them are the centered color photos of animals but with a twist, she adds a interesting pose or a unusual item of clothing to the animal. Many of the photos are designed using the surreal monochrome scheme or a bold night time picture with the dark blues of the night highlighted.

The purpose of these is to show animals that need to be adopted in a new light.  These are all animal subjects, (mainly dogs)  and many of the dogs are from the Hempstead Animal Shelter.  Some of the animals featured are still looking for homes how ever these animal glamour shots have been catching the attention of potential adopters.  These pictures make mutts look fabulous and it creates a more positive atmosphere for adoption.

These pictures won the animal shelter money that went 100% back to the animal shelter.  The pictures are bright, positive and focused on the animal front and center.  There's no denying the animals are the stars in these photos. The cause for these pictures make this artist a very generous person and a humble success.
