Alexander Binder
'Glass Delusion'

Alexander Binder shoots these series of photographs using glass to distort or perhaps in his mind enhance his images to get the look that he is going for. In many of his images there is no real focal point because the whole image is blurred just leaving you the ability to make out the color and shapes of the subject matter. In some cases the blurriness is more extreme then others.
In this series of photos, Binder seems to be all over the place with no real theme or particular subject matter. This makes for a really interesting set of pictures but at times leaves me wanting some sort of connection.
All in all I find Binder's photographs really interesting, he takes a step outside the norm and shoots pictures in a way that is not generally excepted as good photography. I really enjoy the way that he captures the viewers attention even though there is no real focal point in the images. Alexander Binder is someone who is taking chances and looking at photography in a way that is different and challenges the realms of photography.
