1) Dorothea uses a black and white camera to photograph her pictures. She photographs real life situations of struggling farmers and political situations. Her images are pretty up close maybe standing a few feet from her subjects.
2) The first image depicts two men lying in the street, possibly homeless. The second image is a close up on a newspaper stand, showing articles about voting and possible congressional situations. The last image is of probably a rally or speech being held. There are signs and the building seems to be an offical building hence the flags on the outside.
3) I chose these images because they have political and emotional aspects of them that i think are very interesting to photograph. The men in the first image lying on the ground show that they are in some kind of turmoil and given the underlying statement of most of her work i thinks its safe to say that its because of some political reason that they are there. The newspape r should current issues that were politically based as well
