Skylar Coleman - Weekly Artist

Marianna Jamadi

  1. These three photos all capture life in Spain. There is a pop of color contrast in the first and last photo while the middle photo is in black and white but shows a great sense of contrast between light and dark. Balance is kept in each photo by structuring them with the trees, buildings, and windows. The way the tree in the first photo leans with the guitar player works nicely with the way your eye follows the lines from one to the next.
  2. Marianna Jamadi is a travel photographer from California. She believes in finding beauty in experience. All of her photos show her skills in photography through her use of balance, contrast, lighting, color, depth of field, quality, and motion. I am not sure what type of camera she uses.
  3. It was hard choosing which photos to use because frankly I enjoyed looking at all of her photos, even the ones that were not from traveling. What really capture my eye was the first image of the band playing. It shows so much life and love for music. All of the colors make the photo even better. The motorist in the second photo caught my eye because of the way she made it look like time is standing still. The filter of black and white makes the photo even more captivating. The third image caught my eye because of the simplicity and realness. The graffiti on the door, the bicycle on the balcony, and the woman walking by tie the picture together for me, especially the woman's bright purple sweater against the gray color of the wall.
