Balara Maheller
Balarama Heller is a photographer based in New York City who travels to various unfamiliar parts of the world to capture images. The landscape photo does a great job os using the surrounding colors of the sky, fire, and smoke to blend together. The orange of the sky reflects the fire, and the soft purple of the sunset also reflects the smoke going into the sky. The photo setting must have been between a ISO 100-200 and the aperture set to capture more depth of field.
The portrait photo does a good job of using the natural light from the sun casting through the window, to work with the orange of the woman's clothing and the child's. The ISO must have been set at 100 because the photo is very sharp. Also, the shutter speed was lowered below 30 and the aperture increased for more depth of field to capture the subjects and even the couch in the background.
