Holli Turner - Weekly Artist Post

Janos Stekovics

For the photographs that have objects that are moving and have a blur to them the shutter speed was perhaps 1/60 of a second or slower.  Zoomed out or short lens was used to capture the twins for most of the shots.  There is a shallow depth of field in the first photograph so the aperture has to be larger F2 or F4.

Janos Stekovics met the twins in the Great Hungarian Plain.  With their permission of course he was allowed to photograph them during their daily duties on the farm.  Through these photographs following the Lukacs brothers we get a glimpse of what their 60 year old life consisted of on a daily basis.  The hard work that they put in and the bond they shared through working on the farm.

Being a twin myself I was interested in these photographs from the title alone.  There is a bond, a closeness that is shared when I look at these photographs.  I was expecting perhaps maybe more than the one set of twins however following these two individuals worked out fine.  By following them I was able to focus more on their day-to-day hardworking activities, which was nice.
