For this photo Halpern was probably taken by how the light from the sun was coming in through the window to create this wonderful glow on this man. Halpern probably talked to him and had him sit all different way before getting this shot. The man has his hands positioned in a line with his hand down as if taking in the sunshine.
This landscape photo grabbed my attention because of how unique it is. Halpern probably saw this area and wanted to create more light where instead it would be darker. Also, he waited until the time of day where the sun would not be directly hitting the mirror to him but enough to reflect the light and display the light coming through the trees.
