Breotnie Nichols - Portrait/ Landscape

Susan Worsham

Susan Worsham's portrait is more about light and color contrast than the individual, which is made apparent by the removal of the individual's head. This photo was most likely taken when the sun is at its highest. The greens and reds in the individual's shirt and apron provide a nice contrast and the replication of these colors in the vines adds more interest to this photo.

I assume that the landscape photo was taken during sunset. The darkness of the trees contrast with the setting sun, creating an intriguing scene. The photo i also filled with colored contrast, which is most noticeable in the colors in the sky. Additionally, this photo is composed in a way that guides the viewer's eyes. The road leads one's eyes from the foreground to the background.
