Aaron Huey's photographs take place at Salvation Mountain in Niland, California. In the portrait photo, Huey's subject is Leonard Knight the creator of the art mural. The portrait is very appealing and primarily uses soft colors. The white hair along with the dried white paint on his face match up well. Also, the blue shirt and blue eyes of Knight make the portrait colorful.
In the landscape photograph, Huey does an amazing job at capturing the entire setting and color of the mural. It is a very sharp photo and the entire landscape is colorful and the clouds in the sky also play a part in making the photo great.
