1. Dominique Davis is your everyday mother of two, who juggles being a photographer and running her own fashion blog. Today while perusing the helpful photo bases I came upon her feed of "minimalistic fashion" including her two daughters. The technical specifics have not been given of what kind of camera she uses. But her main outlet to get to photos to the world would be Instagram. In this installation she accidentally snapped a photo of her two daughters while coincidently wearing similar outfits. This sparked an idea that would last some time. The photos in this gallery wouldn't be posted to her fashion blog, but to her Instagram feed for a more personal feel.
2. Eventhough Ms. Davis runs her own fashion blog and this gallery aids to it. The reason behind her being so devoted to it was much different. As she is a busy woman, she doesn't always get the most time to spend with her children. Therefore, when they get these moments or "funny photos" as they call them, she really gets to capture genuine love and connections. As read, she wishes to preserve her children's youth through these photos and this feed, to maybe someday look back on.
3. Honestly, I thought the gallery was a bit moving and "cute". The fact that Ms. Davis was able to incorporate her family into her work, which is often hard to do as artist, was nice. I also enjoyed the fact that it all tied into what she does as a photographer and with her fashion blog. The photos that I have selected help capture the theme of a loving family just having fun, from snacking on carnival treats to munching on watermelon.
