Grant Layne - Artist Post 1

Teller gave her models generally complete freedom in posing for fashion so long as the models were by a door frame.  All pictures were taken vertically and show the complete body of the model.  Teller also did not discriminate when choosing her models.  He wanted to take the best possible pictures of everybody.

He goes into detail that during this time period, which was around 1998-1999 he made a decision to step back from fashion and realized how powerful a photographer can be.  For this very reason he took the time to get to know his models on a more personal note.  Teller wanted to be on a "nice note" when doing his photography because he felt that it could make for a better picture and experience.

I don't see anything wrong with Teller's intents.  Since the people he is taking a picture of are conscious of the picture it wouldn't do any harm to get to know the model.  It might make models more comfortable when taking the picture.
