Kimberly Richardson Post 6

1.      Jason Koxvold uses a large format camera from 4x5” to 8x10”. Not only does he use large scale cameras but also film not digital. He feels that using digital takes the photographer away from connecting with the composition of the image.
2.      Koxvold’s intend is to embrace the sense of bemusement and bitter information by capturing the backstage landscapes of neoliberal growth. He has traveled from Los Angelo to Russia. Capturing the landscapes and embracing the abandon architecture, structures, and objects of the countries across the world lost to the landscapes and World.
3.       I enjoy how Koxvold takes objects that have been forgotten and lost to the world and embraces them in his photos. He allows the abandon aspects of the area to speak for itself that it was once something and now is forgotten but still tells a story.
