The photos I selected are from Mustafah's series, "Water". These photos were taken in Sierra Leone in 2012. This series is part of the Blue Earth Alliance, a project organization to raise awareness of environment situations around the world. "We live in a time when 650 million people have no access to safe drinking water...The goal of 'Water' is to build a overarching understanding of how humans and water interact at this critical juncture." "Water" is a fifteen year project, that started in 2011, featuring different areas: China, Sierra Leone, India, California, New York, Brazil, Ethiopia, Somalia, Nigeria, and Pakistan.
For this series, Mustafah used a Mamiya 7 camera, he doesn't use lights and during each trip out he carries about 80 rolls of film and tools to fix his camera if need be.
