Taylor Quinley Artist Post 2

Charles Roux

1. I believe that Charles Roux used a DSLR camera. it also appears that he uses natural lighting for the photos in “Fictitious Feast.” I think that he probably uses a tripod for some of the pictures featured.

2. Charles Roux uses his project “Fictitious Feasts” to connect with literary fiction. Roux had always imagined what different scenes, from classic books, would be like in real life. This is what lead him to create these images. One of the goals for this was to create the perfect meal. Roux never used the same props on different sets. And each item was actually cooked by Roux to match the book. I think that Roux used a digital camera and possibly a tripod.

3. I really enjoy this project by Charles Roux. I like how you can tell right away what he is trying to get across to the viewer. You can tell that each image is from a different fictional book. I think he did a great job displaying all of the different foods. I also like the natural lighting, it adds a lot to the mood of each image.
