Hugh Kretschmer photographic art is just simply magnificent, the way he tricks the human eye into seeing things that aren't actually there are just simply astonishing. I absolutely love the hidden message he uses in a lot of his photos. It's very open to perspective at however way you look at them, everyone can interpret them differently which I adore.
I personally believe that the three images I selected from his gallery of art work resembles a sense of control similar to that of the book "1984". The first image reminds me of how television and media controls us by little things that we don't really pay attention to on a daily basis. We spend money on things blindly most of the time based on what society thinks we should buy. In the second picture the sheep is similar to a saying "we are all sheep" basically acknowledging that most of us aren't aware fully of the things that are going in the world. The third image speaks to me as in saying we will never be free by swimming in a vast land of what it seems to be paper or documents suffocating and surrounding you.
That is my personally representation on how these images reflect to me personally, obviously someone can look at these photos and see something entirely different. Kretschmer's way of editing photos and creating art work that is much different than the average photography hits home for me. Looking at each of his photos, it's very interesting to just see how each is completely different in the way that they are created as well.
