Taylor Quinley Artist Post 4

1. Artist Julien McRoberts seems to be a photographer that captures the moment without disturbing the scene. The photos in the Route 66 project consist of natural lighting. It seems as though all of the photos are just images of what was right in front of her at the time. I believe that McRoberts used a digital camera while making these photos.

2. I have read about Julien McRoberts and she likes to photograph scenes without disturbing anything. The images in her Route 66 project show that she doesn't like to mess with the scene. Even though she doesn’t do anything to alter the scene her photographs are still extremely interesting. She has a very distinct style. In most of her images the lighting is bright and very colorful. Those type of pictures are very interesting to me.

3. I really enjoyed this particular project of hers because it was very colorful and detailed. I also really enjoy the older style of these photos. It was nice to see something not so modern for today. Looking through the pictures in this project make me want to go and travel along Route 66. I think my favorite picture from this project is the diner picture. I have always found diners to be very interesting and fun.
