1. Marton Perlaki uses a variety of methods to represent his vision in his photos. On his site, his photographs are range from black and white to vintage, almost low-contrast colors that seem to fit in well with the subject matter. Perlaki's camera choice seems to pivot between a traditional camera and a digital one. According to an interview, he stated, "I like handheld photography – that’s why I usually choose cameras that allow me free action during shootings. The fewer stands, lamps and other accessories I need to use the better I feel." Perlaki also furthered mentioned that when he works with a digital camera, he only ever does a few adjustments to improve the quality.
2. Perlaki's photographs all share an abstract and edgy theme in subject matter and in composition. He has been noted to describe his photos as having a "certain childish, absurd humor", which ultimately plays an important role into his work. Perlaki creates and takes moments and objects in everyday life and manipulates them in a bizarre but interesting manner.
3. I find Perlaki's photographs to be unique and very creative. Most of his photos have somewhat of a creepy tone to them, but I think it works with what he's trying to accomplish. A lot of his photos that involve human models tend to be faces with closed eyes and a painted-over skin, which caught my attention and curiosity immediately. All of of his photos show a sense of artistic style and it's no wonder many of photos have been featured on various photographer websites, magazine covers, and exhibitions.
