1. Hanne van der Woude is A Netherlands based photographer and these pictures are taken from her latest project titled "Emmy's World." These pictures have some kind of filter on them makes the subjects blend into the environment. The subjects are framed using the rule of thirds. If the subject is close to the center, there is usually a contrast in the background that makes the subject fade into it.
2. The pictures have this child-like, fantasy feel to it. Even though the subjects are older, the pictures give them this sense of child-like wonder. The pictures were taken of Ben and his wife, Emmy, in their secluded home in the country side of Netherlands. There is theme of going back to the past or connecting with nature. Most of the pictures were taken outside as the subjects look on with this sense of nostalgia in their features.
3. I adore these pictures. They remind of my home and the village I came from back in the Philippines. They give off this sense of nostalgia to the audience, at least for me. I think it is wonderful how van der Woude tries to show her subjects exploring nature and their childhoods as they grow older.
