Larissa Castillo - Weekly Artist Post

Collier Schorr

Collier Schorr is an artist from New York. She photographs portraits of males and females which appear in not only color but also black and white. With a few nude portraits.

This artist photographed people in their youths and who are androgenous. There are guys she photographs in the poses they themselves want to be in. She also wanted to capture the difference in the way they pose from an artist's point of view.

Schorr's photos were interesting to me because of how I read that the androgynous males tended to pose more femininely. It made an interesting thought come to my mind about how society is today with homosecxuality. And with how much more accepting it is now, I feel these photos captured some of that message.
