Larissa Castillo - weekly artist post #4

Michele Cera

Michele Cera did these (and a few others in this series) of the areas in Italy which have been devastated. She showed the light outside how it is brightly lit and the inside of the buildings it is a little bright but abandoned.

Vera showed in this project the dialect between the interior and exterior of the living places. Even though some of them are abandoned, some are used by immigrants in the country. And they use the abandoned buildings and houses as a place to call home.

I enjoy this project because of how it shows the reality of the situation in this area in Italy. All the pictures are bright and have the same feeling to them. Although it is a tough situation, the mood they give off is not depressing like photographers would usually do.
