Weekly Artist Post

Ali Bosworth

1. Ali Bosworth's pictures have a heavy use of natural light in his photos. In the first photo, Bosworth uses the sunlight through a window on the right to illuminate his setting. In the second photo, Bosworth takes a very detailed colorful picture of the pale girl standing in front of the white flowers. The way the photograph blends together with the use of color makes it attractive to look at. In the third photo, he uses the sunlight behind him to show the color of the leaves and with a high ISO creates a high quality detailed picture.

2.  Ali Bosworth's intentions in his photographs is to take the images in their natural setting. He takes his photographs using film and relies on light and color. For example, many of Bosworth's photographs have a matching color palettes. It allows his photos to flow naturally and not be over colored or too bright of light due to the sun.

3. I really like Bosworth's approach to his photographs. He uses subjects in natural settings and by using film, I feel he has to use the surrounding setting in order to make his picture. I really liked the second photograph because of the use of color from the red hair, yellow sweater to the white flowers that are reflecting sunlight back onto her pale skin.
