Elena Shumilova is a Russian artist who wished to show the relationship between children and their pets. It looks as though she was very conscious of her color palette and wanted to focus on making it as soft and natural as possible with the use of shutter speed and lighting.
By capturing these children and their pets throughout the seasons,Elena captures an innocent, peaceful world inhabited by children and animals. The mood she sets with her lighting is some what melancholy as you know they will grow up and life wont be as blissful as it looks through these photos.
I ended up really enjoying all of this artists works, because she creates a fairy tale of sorts with her dreamy soft color palette and her lighting. I am really looking forward to seeing more from this artist.
