Skylar Coleman - Weekly Artist

Amos Chapple

  1. In these three photos, lighting and the weather play a big part in capturing emotion in these photos. They are all taken from an aerial perspective as well which gives an entirely new perspective on how these buildings are normally seen. This view allows the viewer to see not only the beautiful buildings but their beautiful surroundings as well, whether that be mountains, bodies of water, or woods. I'm not sure what type of camera was used while taking these but the quality of the images are sharp and display color that compliments each setting. The weather effects of clouds, and both morning and afternoon mists create a captivating look on the images.
  2. Photographer Amos Chapple, is a Kiwi photographer from New Zealand. He respects photojournalists in conflict areas and enjoys traveling and seeing places of kindness, decency, and beauty. He believes in representing places in an honest, non-commercial way through the news media. His photographs are taken both from ground level and from the sky (with the help of his drone) categorized by Earth and Air.
  3. Chapple's images caught my eye because of their aerial perspectives and how sharp the images are from being so high up. I also love being able to see from a perspective that isn't ground level, looking up upon these magnificent buildings. The effects from the weather of clouds and mists and also lighting from the sun or gloominess after a storm help create more emotion to the image.
