Meaghan Mozingo - Artist post #9

Drew Doggett

1) Drew Doggett is a photographer who challenges himself and seeks out the rare and extraordinary. He prefers to photograph subjects and landscapes of exceptional beauty in remote areas. Doggett captures his subjects in their natural environment. Most of his work is done in black and white. However his collection titled Epheremeral Shores is his first collection in color.

2) Doggett captures his subjects in their natural environments. Doggett photographs indigenous areas, people, and subjects. He strives to create beautiful and natural photographs that are visually compelling. Each photo is well crafted and unique with varying shutter speeds, F-stops, lens lengths, and focal points. I believe it is the variety,  that helps to make his collections, as a whole, stand out.

3) Doggett's photos are absolutely beautiful and his compositions are well balanced. Doggett uses light and dark  harmoniously. In most of his photos there is a reflection present, either a reflection in water or a reflection of light. Reflections always add an extra element to the photo enhancing the composition. His photos are rich in texture and patterns which add to the composition.
