1.) JR flyposts his black and white photos on the sides of buildings. Most of the photos are put up guerilla style similar to graffiti. These large scale photos usually speak on a current social issue.
2.) In this series The Wrinkles of the city JR places black and white photography showcasing seniors all over buildings in Los Angeles. L.A. being so superficial and centered around fame, glamour, and beauty the juxtaposition is quite interesting.
3.) I am blown away by his work! Most of his pieces are massive in scale and in mind blowing locations like the Louvre. I feel extremely connected with older people and have always seen beauty in their wrinkles it's nice to see regular people celebrated. Each photography above evokes emotion and makes the viewer connect by filling in what their story could possibly be.
