Dave Wilson uses several different cameras to
capture different images depending the composition of the shot and the format
wanted. He uses overall with all three of his cameras a tripod Manfrotto model
made from carbon fiber that allows light weight for hiking. His camera
selection begins with a Canon AE-1 upgraded from film to digital. A Canon 5d
full frame cameral with a L-series lenses. And finally a Nikon SB-800 Speedlight.

Dave main intend in his images is to capture
three things that he says he often fails at. Originality, simplicity, and
transcendence. He follows the leading lines and rule of thirds for the composition
of symmetry and balance. He avoids using HDR (High Dramatic Range Imagining) as
much as possible but goes with the instinct of if the shot wants it, it can
have it. Although he edits some lighting in his formats he doesn’t believe in
lights or GPS, he believes in being there at the right moment for the right
shot.

I really enjoy his uses of different scenes and
landscapes. He captures the colors of the earth very well and appreciate his
honesty that he edits but, stays true to all shots should be about the right
moment and time. I also enjoy his
different concepts of reflection and infinity of life beauties. He really is
able to capture that once in a life time look in his images, which succeed at
one of his goals of originality.
