Kerry Goodman Post #2

Nobuyoshi Araki

    1. Nobuyushi Araki takes photography photos with both film and digital cameras. When Araki first started in 1971, he was well known for his use of Polaroid film art pieces. He takes photos of prolific and erotic images that have fascinated and excited audiences. A lot of Araki's images are taken during his everyday life, but he occasionally woud do studio work for himself and artist like Lady Gaga.

    2.  Nobuyushi Araki's have a distinct nature that borderlines between art and pornography. Critics agree that due to Araki's use of Polaroids makes the erotic images he uses as memories in his life, giving off a nostalgic feel to them. Araki's inspiration for his photography came from him taking pictures of his wife during their honeymoon. Such art maybe deemed erotic in nature, but they are worthy of thought.
   3. Araki use of erotic bondage imagery goes beyond sexual eroticism. It's almost an introduction into the life of the artist. Showing his emotional attachment to his culture's fetishes and the emotional tie to his wife. How beautiful nudity and sexuality can be without it being pornographic.
